About Us

The Tun Fuad Foundation was established via an Enactment by the Legislature of the State of Sabah on 28th August 1976. The Enactment is cited as the TUN FUAD FOUNDATION ENACTMENT, 1976.

The Foundation was formed to perpetuate the good name of the late YAB Tun Haji Mohd Fuad Stephens, to achieve the aspiration and to perpetuate the good work of the late YAB Tun Haji Mohd Fuad Stephens; to inculcate and promote mutual understanding among racial groups and mankind and to provide or award studentships, scholarships, study grants, study loans and other awards to any Malaysian citizen who is a permanent resident in Sabah; to undertake such or any activity commercial or otherwise so as to enhance the Fund.

The objects for which the Foundation is established are:

1. To perpetuate the good name of the Late Yang Amat Berhormat Tun Mohamed Fuad Stephens.
2. To achieve the aspiration and to perpetuate the good work of the Late Yang Amat Berhormat Tun Mohamed Fuad Stephens.
3. To inculcate  and promote mutual understanding among racial groups and mankind.
4. To promote peace and understanding among nations.
5. To improve the standard of education in all fields and to uplift the standard of living of the people.
6. To provide or award studentships, scholarships, study grants, study loans or other awards to any Malaysian citizen who is a permanent resident in Sabah.
7. To undertake such or any activities commercial or otherwise so as to enhance the Fund.
